Children in the Blog group interviewed Miss Cossington and members of the Eco-Committee. Miss Cossington was interviewed first....
Blog:“ Do you think our school is eco friendly?”
Miss Cossington.“Yes we are trying to achieve the green flag”
Blog.“Do you like the idea of the blog?”
Miss Cossington. “I think it is a fantastic idea I am looking forward to reading it!”
Blog. “What will you be doing this year?”
Miss Cossington.“We are looking to get solar power toys.”
Blog.“Do you like the school?”
Miss Cossington.“Yes I love the school and I love working here.”
Blog.“What do you think of the school grounds?”
Miss Cossington.“We are very lucky to have the field and pond area.”
The Blog team asked the eco committee the same questions and here is what they said....
"We think that our school is eco friendlily because we save energy and we recycle.
We also like how it feels, like we are one big family and we are proud of our school. We would like some more plants though. We like the idea of the blog on the computer because it saves paper and it is more eco friendly.

After her first term at Barker's Lane Miss Evans was interviewed by Joely and Poppy, Miss Evans shared some of her thoughts:
Miss Evans thinks the school grounds are beautiful especially the outdoor classroom. She said she can't wait for Year 6 to be able to go and work outside.
Miss Evans also said she enjoys teaching all subjects to Year 6 and wants them to reach high standards. She likes the changes to our handwriting and says "If you practise you will get better at it"'.
She thinks the children at Barker's Lane are well mannered and eager to learn more.
The last comment Miss Evans made to the interviewers was that she likes the fact that Barker's Lane feels like 'one big happy family'.

Well done to all of the children for their amazing performances in our Christmas Concerts. Elmer visited many places to find out about Christmas with Early Years, Year 1 and 2 travelled to lots of festivals all over the world and the Juniors taught us all about the first Christmas with a 'dancing donkey'.
Two fantastic weeks which we've all enjoyed. Well done everyone, we're all very proud of you!
