Infant Sports – Diolch yn fawr

Diolch to everyone who was able to join us this morning at the infant sports. We do appreciate it is not always easy to take time off from work. As promised, here is a run-down of the fantastic distances, heights and targets that the children achieved this morning.

The children sprinted the equivalent distance as travelling from Barker’s Lane to Gresford, they jumped the height of Mount Olympus in the jump rope event and went the distance of the Kingsway Mersey Tunnel in the balance event.

In the Hopper event, they jumped the height of the Shanghai Tower and the Burj Khalifa combined. In the egg and spoon event, they travelled the same distance as the length of the Forth Bridge and in the obstacle race travelled the distance of the Old Warden Tunnel.

In the football shootout, they scored 200 goals, almost as many as Ian Rush throughout his whole career and hit the beanbag target as many times as Gerrard, Suarez & Bale combined, have scored goals .

Diolch yn fawr to our Blwyddyn 5&6 children for working out so many facts and figures for us to compare with.

A very special ‘bendigedig’ to all of the children and staff who worked hard to put on a fun, active event once again.
